About Misprint
Welcome to Misprint, where we create unique handmade books and paper, as well as share our knowledge about bookbinding and traditional printing techniques.
What can we say? We love books, paper, and printing!
At Misprint we celebrate and share the rich history and tradition of bookbinding and printing techniques.
We are dedicated to creating our books with the highest quality materials that have been used from the very beginning of bookbinding, that’s why we only use flax threads, quality paper, and natural cloths. Our books are stitched by hand with attention to every detail, open completely flat, and last in time.
We create our paper by hand, just as it has been done since its invention . We do not use wood fibers, instead we go back to the roots of papermaking and offer you botanical paper, which we create from locally sourced and hand-processed plant fibers and high quality recycled paper.
In a world that becomes increasingly digital, we resist by creating prints using a variety of analog techniques. From the oldest forms of relief printing like woodcut and linocut , to letterpress or more recent printing methods like silkscreen, all our printing has a common factor – it is a manual process that has a human touch.
We are experienced professional artists who are passionate about our craft. All our life revolves around books, paper and print – our studies, our work experience, our passion. We strive to re-invent their classic, established aesthetics, and experiment with their structure and possibilities.
