Linocut Workshop
During the workshop, each person will create their own unique pattern.
With one plate, which you will engrave yourself during the workshop, you will create a unique pattern ideal for a poster or a bag.
During the workshop, you will learn about the technique of printmaking – linocut, which is a relief printing technique. Linocut is derived from woodcut, one of the oldest printing techniques. The basis of our work will be a piece of linoleum, which you may associate mainly with the floors of the 1990s. Linocut is a technique that offers many possibilities for work and the results obtained.
The basic principle is very simple. Anything you cut out of a linoleum tile will remain white. And I will tell you the rest in the workshop!

Hi, this is Magda! I am a graduate of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, majoring in Art Mediation and Graphic Design. I am an artist, graphic designer, and cultural animator.
I create mainly in the linocut technique, which is a relief printing technique. I am inspired by human beings, their stories and emotions, textures and traces that we can find in the nature around us.
Linocut appeared in my life in 2010 and has stayed permanently. Since then, I have experimented with different methods of creating a matrix, different ways of cutting, as well as with printing itself.
She was awarded a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2020, from the Mayor of Wroclaw in 2019, and a three-time scholarship from the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. Her works have been repeatedly presented at international competitions and biennials around the world, including Armenia, Romania, the USA, and Argentina.
